THERE IS NO MENTAL HEALTH WITH VIOLENCE
Violence has a serious impact on long term mental health.
From PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) to depression and anxiety, it impacts our well-being and makes us more likely to abuse substances. It reduces our potential and limits our productivity and contributions to our communities.
IN OTHER WORDS, THERE IS NO MENTAL HEALTH WITH VIOLENCE AND THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC HAS MADE THIS PROBLEM WORSE.
As UNI and as unions we can help. We can raise awareness on this issue and
support our unions and governments in the adoption of an ILO Convention and Recommendation to eliminate violence against women and men in the world of work.
For this reason, we would like to invite you to join us in this new stage of our Breaking the Circle campaign – There is no mental health with violence. Share our posters for each day, as well as our infographic and ask your unions to do the same and to tag us. And don’t forget to use the hashtags! #ratifyILO190 #16days
